Hmm, that’s a bit of a complex question. There’s all different kinds of pin-up. Pin-up’s were originally just considered posters to “pin-up” on your wall of attractive women, glamourous models, actresses, etc. This started in the early 1900’s.

Even today, that definition of pin-up still exists. A beautiful woman on a poster, usually a sex symbol, would be a pin-up.

On this blog, I prefer to keep pin-up more of the vintage 50’s style, or styles surrounding that era. More of the rockabilly, cheesecake, glamour, etc. styles. I’d like to try and focus more on pin-up as being empowering and showing the true beauty and confidence of women, and not that women are sex symbols.
